
Recycling Complex: Education & Drop-Off Center
The Recycling Complex: Education & Drop-Off Center is located at 14 Interchange Court. Regular hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., and, Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Directions:
From I-516 (Lynes Parkway) to (Gwinnett Street Exit, right to Interchange Drive, turn left to Interchange Court.
From downtown take Gwinnett Street west to Interchange Drive, turn left to Interchange Court.
The facility offers a variety of recycling opportunities such as collection of aluminum cans; steel products; plastics - #1 and #2; scrap metals; and white goods such as washers, dryers, stoves, etc. The Recycling Complex also houses an Education Center which provides numerous literature and brochures on recycling, information on the various recycling programs within the city, different recycling projects, as well as several displays and exhibits. Also available is information on landfilling, waste to energy, refuse collection, waste monitoring, and other sanitation concerns.
Mission
The mission of the Recycling Complex is to provide a venue for collecting recyclables, and to educate the public regarding the importance of waste reduction, conservation of natural resources, reducing landfill space through a series of tours, school classroom visits, videos, and educational literature.
What you can recycle
Recyclables are accepted at the Recycling Complex in nine clean streams:
Aluminum: soda and beer cans
Steel: cans, containers, etc.
Plastic (commingled #1 and #2): Soda and detergent bottles, milk jugs, etc.
Scrap metals: old bicycle parts, swing sets, etc.
White goods: old refrigerators, stoves, etc.
Corrugated cardboard: identified by waffle core between two sheets of paper
Paper: Magazines, newspaper, and mixed paper such as copy paper, soda cartons, junk mail, etc.

The energy saved by recycling one aluminum can will operate a computer for three hours.
