Mission
To provide the maximum services to increase the number of Minority/Women Business Enterprises in Savannah, assist them with growing and sustaining successful businesses, and increasing their participation in the City of Savannah’s procurement process.
Objectives:
- Increase the number and success rate of M/WBEs;
- Increase contracting and procurement dollars spent with M/WBEs; and,
- Increase the capacity of M/WBEs to compete for a wide range of public and private sector projects.
Program Activities:
- Outreach to M/WBEs, contractors, suppliers, vendors, consultants through outreach and networking events.
- Promotion of contracting opportunities throughout the community.
- Technical assistance and support to firms wishing to secure City contracts.
- Technical assistance training, workshops and events to build the capacity of local contractors.
- Assistance with Certification and Bonding.
