You may now complete your M/WBE Certification application on-line.
Completed applications must be mailed with supporting documentation to The City of Savannah Department of Economic Development; Attention: Certification Technician; PO Box 1027; Savannah, GA 31402.
If you are applying for certification, you will need an email address in order to receive correspondence from the M/WBE Office. If you do not have email, free email accounts can be created at www.yahoo.com, www.google.com or www.hotmail.com to name a few.

CERTIFICATION
Certification is a process to verifying the legitimacy or ownership, management and control of firms applying for M/WBE status for purposes of participating on City of Savannah contracts. All certified firms will be listed in the City M/WBE Directory, which will be issued to all City departments and prime contractors doing business with the City.
WHO CAN BE CERTIFIED?
To be certified with the City of Savannah as a M/WBE, firms must be located and operate within the three county Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) consisting of Bryan, Chatham and Effingham Counties for at least six months prior to submitting an application for certification. To operate means to be the current holder of a valid business license issued by a local government within the MSA prior to submitting an application.
“FAST TRACK PROGRAM”
The City of Savannah will consider an official certification from one of the following agencies for the purpose of reciprocation: The Department of Transportation (USDOT), U.S. Small Business Administration (8a) (SBA) or Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council (GMSDC). Submit: City of Savannah “SHORT FORM” Certification application along with current business license, signed lease agreement and current certification letter or certificate.
