The Citizen Office serves to proactively minimize the effects of capital improvement projects in a defined geographic area by coordinating city services to meet the needs of citizens impacted by the projects.
Edgemere / Sackville Curb & Gutter Improvement Project
Description: This project includes new 8” water main with new laterals to each house; replacement and/or new fire hydrants; stormwater improvements; and new sidewalks, curbing, gutters, driveway aprons and parking bays along the following streets:
53rd between Live Oak and Ash Streets
54th between Live Oak and Ash Streets
55th between Waters Ave and Ash Streets

Citizen Engagement describes any process that strives to inform, gather input or involve the public regarding decision-making processes. We must keep our citizens informed. Oftentimes that is achieved via one-way communication tool such as newsletters; however, we strive to partner with our citizens to achieve full public collaboration. “People have a tendency to agree with something they helped create.”
