Downtown eatery wins Golden Broom Award
 B. Matthews Eatery, owned by Brian and Jennifer Huskey, was presented with the first quarter 2007 Golden Broom Award on Thursday, March 22. The Golden Broom Award recognizes businesses in greater downtown Savannah that keep the area in front of their stores clean, litter-free and visually appealing.
B. Matthews, located at 325 E. Bay St., was chosen by the selection committee because of its ongoing contribution to beautifying Savannah’s greater downtown community. The owners have worked with the Historic Review Board to make significant cosmetic improvements to the building, including fresh paint, new signage, and several interior changes.
