Town Hall MeetingNext Town Hall Meeting Aug. 20
Town Hall Meeting
7 p.m., Aug. 20
Civic Center, 301 West Oglethorpe Avenue

A quick glance at today's headlines and it's undeniable: "green" is everywhere. Protecting the environment and conserving resources are top priorities in communities across the country.

But what strategies will work best in Savannah? City departments have some great ideas to expand our commitment to the environment, but citizen participation is needed to make any plan work.

Citizens can help choose the right path for Savannah at the upcoming Aug. 20 Town Hall Meeting. The City will present background information on current environmental initiatives, including our organization's goals to reduce carbon emmissions and the upcoming launch of curbside recycling. Citizens are encouraged to share their ideas and pledge to make changes in their own lives to support an earth-friendly future in Savannah.

Also at the Town Hall Meeting, City Manager Michael Brown will present his regular quarterly update on progress being made toward key Council priorities.

Citizens don't have to wait until Aug. 20 to have their voices heard. Visit Town Hall Online to share your feedback through Talk Back Savannah.
