The Savannah Fire and Emergency Services Honor Guard is an integral part of all formal SFES functions and many community activities throughout the year. The Honor Guard is a prominent feature at funerals and the annual Firefighters Memorial Service. The Honor Guard also leads the SFES contingent during the city’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

The SFES Honor Guard is comprised of carefully screened volunteers who are highly motivated and maintain high standards of appearance and conduct and who show a special aptitude for ceremonial duty.

The SFES Honor Guard serves as ambassadors to the public, presenting a positive image of the department and is a much-sought-after element for many community event organizers who wish to recognize the dedication, professionalism and patriotism of the men and women of Savannah Fire and Emergency Services.
