 | Be a "Litter Buster".
One of the goals of Keep Savannah Beautiful is to decrease the amount of litter and debris on our city streets and right of ways. This type of litter (paper, cups, cans, cigarette butts, etc.) comes from trucks with unsecured loads and citizens traveling throughout our city who throw debris out of their vehicles. With this in mind, and knowing the size of Savannah and the manpower it would take to maintain each city street and right of way, Keep Savannah Beautiful developed the “Litter Buster” program. The “Litter Buster” program allows citizens an opportunity to get involved and do their part in Keeping Savannah Beautiful.
Any citizen can be a “Litter Buster”.
Here’s how the program works: When you observe someone throwing litter from their vehicle, simply pick up your Litter Buster Card, fill it out and drop it in the mail. It’s just that simple.
The owner of the vehicle will be contacted and informed of the violation, the city ordinances regarding litter and encouraged to help Keep Savannah Beautiful.
Litter Buster postcards are free and available at the main libraries, all police precincts, City hall and the Community Planning and Development’s office at 2203 Abercorn Street.
